Mark C. Bryan

As a Florida Bar Attorney Board Certified in Construction Law, Mark C. Bryan’s specializes in construction law and construction litigation. His extensive expertise covers a broad range of areas, including construction liens, payment bond claims, construction defects, delay claims, licensing issues, bid protests, and other construction-related business disputes. Throughout his career, he has represented a diverse array of clients, including owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers.

Mr. Bryan’s practice also includes complex real estate and business litigation, where he represents national, regional, and local businesses, and individuals in contract disputes, collection cases, commercial lease disputes, personal guaranty actions, noncompete agreement disputes, and commercial real property litigation. Mr. Bryan also has experience defending business owners against Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility lawsuits brought in federal court.

Mr. Bryan is a native Floridian, born in Jacksonville, Florida. With a general contractor father, Mr. Bryan grew up around the construction industry. After graduating from Orange Park High School, in Orange Park, Florida, he attended and graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. After graduating from the University of Florida, Mr. Bryan attended his first year of law school at Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law, in Macon, Georgia. Mr. Bryan completed his last two years of his law school at Florida State University and obtained his J.D. there in 1994.

While in law school at FSU, Mr. Bryan gained early and valuable construction industry experience as a law clerk to a construction lawyer and lobbyist for the Associated General Contractors and the Florida Home Builders Association, who was instrumental in the drafting and passage of the 1991 major revisions to Florida’s construction lien law. Mr. Bryan also worked as a law clerk for the State of Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board and participated in early drafting of administrative code provisions for the Florida Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Bryan gained experience at a prominent construction litigation firm before founding Lippes & Bryan, P.A. He spent more than two decades running his own practice focused on construction litigation before joining Iseley | Fugitt.
